Great product - shipping confusion
This product was a replacement for an existing 17 year old identical unit. The old unit finally bit the dust . . . it seemed to disintegrate all at once. I believe the grinding chamber started to flake, then the rotor caught an edge and ripped a chunk of the bottom out of the unit. Well . . . water went right through the thing and into the cabinet, then onto the kitchen floor. I had no choice but to remove it, leaving a hole in the bottom of the sink, rendering it useless.
I specifically looked for the identical unit for replacement, guaranteeing the plumbing would match up, thereby simplifying installation.
I paid extra to get expedited shipping because of the urgency. But the problem was the vendors interpretation of 'expedited' (3-5 days), and what was listed on Amazon (1-3 days), and essentially every day made a difference. Easy Install and long lasting
Purchased this model as a direct replacement for the same model which lasted over 7 years before it started leaking. Installation was easy, quick and everything aligned perfectly... this was my first time installing a disposer, also.
good stuff
no issues with this product. operates as described, easy to install, the only negative would be the packing of the item for shipping. although it arrived undamaged I didn't believe it would have been based on the rattle in the box upon receipt.
