NY Coffee Lover
We found this bundle at another store for considerably less than advertised here. That being said, it's still a good deal - the filter goes for ~$20 and the 60 K cups (vs the 12 you get in a normal package) is another $15 so it's on a par with what you can get a K60 for on sale if you look real hard.
We find it brews a good cup of coffee; we're always using 10 oz mugs and the "large" setting is just fine. The filter/filter holder however does present some problems - the filter is messy to clean and water has a tendency to splash while brewing because there's not a tight fit between the top of the filter holder and the hot water nozzle. I solved that problem with a small o-ring taped to the filter top. That's the only reason I downgraded from a 5* rating.
coffee addict
I had this coffee maker for over 6 months. My husband and I drink coffee every day. I had to descale the machine 4 times already. The pot doesn't brew sometimes, it brews less and less coffee and is a big letdown after our Cuisinart lasted 5 years with no problems!! I like that we can have different types of coffee, but may be going back to ground coffee!
Lifespan of Keurig?
I purchased the large Keurig December 2008. It has performed fine until recently. The amount of liquid has been decreasing. I have soft water, so I didn't de-scale until the indicator came on. De-scaled last week per instructions. Had to de-scale again today. I suppose daily use for 2 years is ok, but for the price, I'd expect it to last longer. If it is still not performing, I will probably go back to the Cuinsart which, thankfully, is still in the garage. I don't think I'd purchase another Keurig. Had to resort to a jar of old instant coffee today (for emergencies), and actually, it tastes OK. Go figure.
