Air King 8605 Low Profile Die-Cast Heater with Adjustable Thermostat

Great Little Heater--Absolutely Silent
We purchased this heater two years ago and liked it so well we have purchased three more. It is sturdy, well-built (with a cast aluminum element--no thin metal to make noise), and unobtrusive. It is absolutely silent. None of our units has ever made noise. Granted, it has no fan and works by convection only, but having a room heater without the fan noise or the incessant clunking is wonderful. We use ours as bedroom heaters and they work perfectly. Think of this heater as a small, supplemental baseboard heater.

This is the same unit as the Lasko 5605. Air King and Lasko share many products...

5 stars so far
I purchased this to put under a window I use for ventilation during the winter. I have an exhaust fan in the ceiling across the room.

This is perfect, even on low.
Sturdy build with a quality cord.

I think you will be happy and toasty if you invest in one!

Update 10/18/2012: This is the best purchase I have made in 20 years.
Update 3/11/2013: I adore this heater, I don't worry about it catching fire because it has no moving parts. The only problem I've had: one of the feet comes loose when I move it. Oh, well.
