Prone to failure
I bought this Compact Fridge. Within 2 months, it quit working. I liked it well for the 2 months that it worked. Trying to return it for my money back.
More than OK for the price
Bought one of these at Walmart for $80 to use as a beer fridge. As others have experienced, mine worked fine for about a year. I tried to be upset about that, but in that year I likely spent 20 times more on the beer itself than what I paid for the fridge.
I consider that a job well done, Mini Fridge. You gave a year of your life - indeed, your very life itself - to save and protect my beer. I don't take that sacrifice lightly. Rather, I honor you, Mini Fridge. Godspeed.
Garbage
It goes like this: when I first got it, it worked okay--drinks were never cold, just cool. But I was just using it to keep bottled water in my home office. It just gradually got less and less cool and about after a year, it was just basically blowing room temp air into the box. I used compressed air to try to clean the heat sink as free from dust as possible, but it only provided marginal improvement. You're better off spending $30-$40 more an buying a compact refrigerator with a compressor and refrigerant cooling system. At least you won't have to worry about spoilage. Don't ever buy a thermoelectric "refrigerator". On the plus side, it doesn't weigh that much; shot-putting it into a dumpster was pretty easy.
