Spend a Little More and Get the Real Thing
We had been getting along without a ceiling light in our family/television room for some time. I was reluctant to get a "universal" light kit to add to the existing ceiling fan, being concerned about fitup and appearance. This light kit was not inexpensive, but it matches the fan color and finish exactly and that makes it worth the extra money. It does not provide enough light to read with, but that is OK with us because we have floor lamps for that purpose.
