Good Product but ....
I have two long haired cats and my whole bottom floor is laminate and tile. I use to watch the cat hair drift around and go everywhere. I bought this dirt devil robot and it took care of the problem. It went under the furnichure and got all the dust bunnys and cat hair. It's great for under stuff and side boards. Now the bad news. It's not so great in the open but a quick dry mop over the open areas and every thing is clean. Also this thing gets stuck sometime so you have to tie up wires and move things enough so it can get in and out. Overall I give it four stars because it works well and always picks up alot of suff in the basket after it goes around for an hour.
Best Product for the Price
This may quite possibly be my first review on Amazon. First of all, why five stars? After all, Nothing is perfect. Whiskers is certainly far from perfect. However, a rating is not a pie in the sky calculation-- it is an assessment of how good a product is compared to the rest of the market at that time and in light of its current price. Five stars: because we purchased Whiskers for about $70, and we can't imagine another robot vacuum that comes close to providing as much bang for the buck. Are the $300 vacuums three or four times as good? We highly doubt it. A $300 vacuum robot will probably only provide a marginally better user experience. Yes, we have no frame of reference, but, all we know is that with each use the vacuum collects a very respectable amount of dust in its collection recepticle; that it is easy to use, and that its drawbacks are limited. Also, it may well be the cutest of the bunch.
We got Whiskers without the dusting sheets.

Should Have Way Better Programming
I've had this for a couple of days and I already see a big design flaw.
The pros are that it definitely picks up hair, small crumbs and dust very well from my wood flooring. It reduces the frequency of my vacuuming and cleaning. It's not that noisy and kind of interesting to watch as it works. The filter and dust cup are easy to clean. The whiskers design is a smart idea and makes for a broad cleaning path. It stops and beeps periodically when it runs out of juice.
On the OK side: The battery life so far has been around 50 minutes on an overnight charge. A 4hr charge, which the system has a timer for, gives you around 35 to 40 minutes which definitely is not long enough for my 18' by 24' area.
On the cons: It can get hung up by speaker wires and power cords. It sometimes goes onto floor mats, sometimes it bounces off them, and sometimes gets stuck on their edges. It gets stuck among the legs of the chairs around my kitchen table so I have to spread the...
