Working Beautiful So Far on Boat Outings
We've been searching for quality rechargeable battery fans to use when gunkholing on our boat. We have a generator, but don't want to gamble in running the generator and the AC during the night while sleeping. The O2Cool is the best we've found to date. We find that running on low speed, we get many hours of light breezes from the rechargeable battery itself. If during the night, we bump the speed to 'high,' we will deplete the rechargeable battery and then the unit automatically switches to the "D" batteries. Much better unit that a Gama-Sonic we bought.
Amazing 9 hours using included rechargble batt. w/ low setting
Just open the box yesterday and fan is still half charge. It blow for 4 hours in low setting. I bought it 3 months ago from big W as clearence item.
Fully-charged over night, use low setting and producing a breeze of circulation for nine hours. This would be good to use inside a tent over-night.
Havn't try car charger and Hi-power settung yet, so I give a 4-star for what I experienced.
Good product if you can buy with a good discount.
**Update For Hi-setting, the rechargeable can go for 3+ hour--This is really a PLUS, consider it can go cordless and be place/hang anywhere !!!
waste of money - cheaply made and rechargeable feature fails very quickly
UPDATE - it failed to take a charge on its rechargeable batteries a few months out --- then a couple of years of very light usage (occasionally in the back window of the parked truck for the dogs) and the fan fell off the center post and it wont turn on.... complete waste of money... (origintal review-very lightweight w.o the regular batteriesbut it takes EIGHT D batteries as back up - which makes it really heavy.... needs a clip for more flexibility. seems to stop itself from charging when you have it plugged in to DC (as in full charge). very quiet, and the speed increases when you go from internal battery to external power. needs to have a replaceable internal battery, and needs to have a smart battery that cant be over charged (states not to charge more than 24 hours - so you can just leave it plugged in etc)
